Christine Welch, Attorney
 Executive Director

Christine graduated from the University of South Florida in 1979. In 1983, she received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Florida College of Law. Since 1986, Christine has placed hundreds of children nationally and internationally in loving homes. Specializing in adoption and surrogacy law for 20 years, Christine has been qualified in Federal Court as an expert on adoption and has presented adoption issues to the Florida Legislature. She is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the Florida Adoption Council and the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.

JoAnn Welch, LCSW
 Board Member

  JoAnn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the field. Her educational qualifications include a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Social Work, and  Bachelor's Degree in the field of education. JoAnn specializes in counseling for birth parents, adoptive children and families. Her extensive knowledge base allows her to provide expert counseling and guidance.

Kim Fetner, BA
Board Member

Kim has worked in the field for over ten years. Not only does she have extensive experience working in adoption, she is also an adoptive mother. Kim has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on counseling from the University of South Florida.

Kristina Bennett
Case Worker

Kristina received her Associates of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor Degree in Social Work at the University of South Florida and will graduate in December of 2009. Upon graduating, she plans to immediately pursue graduate school and a Master’s degree in Social Work. She began interning with our office in the spring of 2008 and has continued to work with us part time. She is very excited to be working in her future field of choice and loves the hands-on experience she is gaining. She assists Michelle with the necessary paperwork and works with the birthmothers as well.

Welma Bleil  (Pronounced Velma)

Book Keeper

 Welma is a native Brazilian.  After receiving her bachelor’s degree there, she relocated to the United States.  Since her move, she has worked as an office manager/bookkeeper.  She is available to answer all questions regarding billing, escrow accounts, etc.  Welma is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

 

Michelle Veddern

Legal Assistant

Michelle received her Paralegal Degree in 2003 and has 6 years experience in the legal field, primarily concentrating on Adoptions. Michelle is responsible for all the necessary legal paperwork, she also assists the adoptive couples and birth parents throughout the entire process.
